It's been seven years, and I can still remember the day as if it happened yesterday. My grandfather was laid to rest that day as well.
I just uploaded this video to YouTube--it's the 9/11 tribute from Drum Corps International. One of the final images in the video, the Statue of Liberty still standing tall with a huge cloud of smoke in the background, still gets me to this day.
