It's a version of Google that only returns results pre-January 2001. Try searching for things like "Sarah Palin" "Michael Phelps" or "September 11, 2001". It's pretty creepy if you think about it.
Oddly enough, if you search my name using this, the first four results you find are actually me. The first two are from a website that I used to work for, before the dot com bust. Once they went bankrupt, they obviously couldn't pay me anymore so I ended up quitting. At 15 years old. If only they knew, right?
